Join Groundworks Community Advancement Director, Colleen Shaughnessy, and Senior Manager of Learning, Faith Brainerd Kelly, for a brief presentation and Q&A on our upcoming cohort opportunity.
Groundworks New Mexico (GNM) is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for established and emerging New Mexico nonprofit leaders, based on our equity-focused capacity building cohort training model. GNM expects to run three unique cohorts concurrently with approximately 15 participants per cohort.
Cohort Goals
- Create shared and facilitated learning
- Support improved organizational outcomes
- Increase organizational capacity to apply for, be awarded, and manage public funding
- Increase funding to New Mexico nonprofit organizations
- Build a supportive network of professional peers
Incentives
- Complimentary one-year membership to Groundworks New Mexico for cohort organizations
- Unlimited, no cost access to Center for Nonprofit Excellence trainings, workshops, and webinars and free entry to GNM conferences during the project period-KRISTI is this a thing for this cohort round or maybe reduced not free?
- A minimum of seven hours of one-on-one technical assistance throughout the cohort for participants and their organizations
Deadline to Apply
For best consideration, applications should be submitted by September 26, 2025. The final deadline will be October 3, 2025.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by GNM board and staff. Priority will be given to rural, small, BIPOC-led organizations and Nations, Pueblos, and Tribes with geographic representation from across New Mexico. GNM seeks candidates who are eager to learn and plan to apply the skills and knowledge gained to benefit their organizations, their communities, and the NM social sector. Organization's with federal funding that is unstable, uncertain, etc. and those that are are ready to explore and apply for state or city/county funding are especially encouraged to apply.
