Maximizing Multi-Generational Teams

Registration is closed for this event

Does your nonprofit have staff or volunteers from multiple generations? Join us to learn how to maximize the talents of each generation.

Learning Objectives

  • Review the generations and the historical events that shaped their values and preferred behaviors
  • Identify specific friction or sticking points between generations and explore the reasons for the frustration
  • Learn a strength-based approach to understanding the potential contributions to team effectiveness
  • Share a communications model and technique for encouraging team problem-solving

Description

Today's workforce is the first to encompass five generations working together. Given that each generation has been shaped by different historical events and social viewpoints, working across the generations can have friction points that hinder effectiveness and teamwork. This workshop will provide tools for increasing the communication among individuals, for reducing friction and frustration, and for creating stronger teams.
