Groundworks New Mexico’s organizational vision is for “a vibrant, effective, and equity-driven social sector that promotes the well-being of New Mexico's people and communities.” That vision is jeopardized when our communities are living in fear and subjected to violence. Dignity, due process, and accountability matter regardless of where you sit in the political landscape. We are participating in the January 30th “National Shutdown” action of “no work, no school, no shopping for the day” as a form of economic pressure and public statement against the violence and terror being inflicted by ICE both in New Mexico and across our nation.
