Real Time Grant Writing

Registration is closed for this event

Do you want to build your grant writing skills? Join us for a two-part series that will teach you the components of a grant and give you a chance to practice writing one.

Session 1: August 8, 9am-12pm
Session 2: September 12, 9am-12pm

Learning Objectives

  • Identify how your organization matches a grant opportunity
  • Understand what the grantor is requesting and how to answer in the space allowed

Description

Why are some grants successful and others not? In this two-part workshop series, you will have the opportunity to work on developing the techniques and skills for the submission of a successful grant application.

During the first session, you’ll learn strategies for identifying grant opportunities and writing the different elements of the grant application.

In the time between the two sessions, you will get hands-on experience working on a grant application of your choice or practicing on a grant template provided by the instructor. You'll have an opportunity to submit your grant to the instructor for personalized feedback.

During the second session, the group will collectively work through the different elements of the grant application and discuss strengths and recommended improvements based on your actual grants.
