Description

This training focuses on the financial oversight required by nonprofit Board Members and Executive Directors to ensure the organization is financially healthy. You'll learn about the financial statements required for nonprofit organizations and what they tell you, as well as red flags to look out for. You'll leave this training with a clear understanding of the critical information covered in the Form 990, as well as best practices for effective governance and financial management.

Carol Mayo Cochran, CPA/PFS, CEBS, CCP, CMA, CFC, CMS, THRP, Principal at REDW, LLChas over 30 years of accounting experience with expertise in employee benefits, retirement plans, flexible spending accounts, and compensation planning. In addition to her in-depth accounting knowledge, Carol has ample experience as a Board Member as the past Chair of Sandia Preparatory School, past Chair for New Mexico First, past National Treasurer and past Chair of the Girl Scouts of the USA, and as a member of the Executive Committee of ACCION New Mexico.
