YouTube for Nonprofits: Strategies to Tell Your Story (In Person or Online)

Registration is closed for this event

Does your nonprofit have YouTube or another online video channel? This form of social media can be a highly effective way to connect with donors, volunteers and build awareness for your cause and organization.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify tools to create an effective YouTube video that grabs the attention of the supporters you want
  • Understand best practices for using videos to tell your story and inspire your donors
  • Acquire strategies to incorporate online video in your fundraising efforts

Description

This training will explore how to effectively tell your nonprofit’s story online.  We will look at how to create, post, embed, and drive traffic to YouTube and other social media sites.

Learn how to do all this for free or low cost.  Learn what types of videos and photos can most benefit your organization.  We will examine how online video can help you build awareness, raise funds, recruit volunteers, spawn viral marketing, communicate effectively, build online communities, interact with constituents, and drive traffic to your website, blog, and social media.  We will also explore some interesting case studies and, time permitting, we will do an exercise where you’ll create your own video!

Available through live streaming--participate from your computer or mobile device.  Engage during the training by emailing comments and questions.
