Presenters

Kimi Scheerer is the education coordinator for the Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Program (BEMP). Kimi has a B.S. in Biology from Alma College in Michigan and an M.S. in Marine Biology from James Cook University in Queensland, Australia. She has been involved in environmental education since 2001, working with a variety of education programs in the U.S. and the Caribbean. Her experience spans from nature centers to aquariums, an ecological institute, and several residential school programs. She works as a BEMP educational representative in the community and schools, team-teaches UNM's Bosque Intern 408 class, cultivates BEMP curriculum and supports Bosque School field research projects.

Jessica Langer was recently promoted to the position of Volunteer Manager at Animal Humane. Prior to her promotion, she served as Volunteer Coordinator for almost four years helping to schedule, train and stay connected with approximately 500 volunteers. Jessica is originally from New Jersey and her background is in editing and writing. She shares her home with her husband and five cats and spends her free time reading, writing and traveling around her adopted home state.

Lisa Sciorilli and Sonya Warwick of Roadrunner Food Bank.  Lisa recently joined Roadrunner Food Bank as the Event and Volunteer Engagement Manager.  She brings 15 years of experience creating and managing volunteer programs and community outreach for corporations, retail chains and non-profit organizations.  Sonya has been with Roadrunner since 2008.  Her responsibilities at the Food Bank include marketing, public relations and overall communications.   Sonya has a duel degree in English and Journalism and Mass Communication.
