Social Enterprise for Nonprofits

Registration is closed for this event

Are you seeking new ways to increase funding for your nonprofit?  Have you considered social enterprise or earned income?

Adding unrestricted renewable income to your nonprofit’s resource development plan could make the difference between sustainability or the need for drastic cutbacks.  This fast-paced hands-on workshop will explore and explain the seven vital steps required to launch a successful social venture based on your agency’s assets. In the business world, there is no guarantee that a business venture will succeed, but careful and thorough research and feasibility studies will certainly improve the potential for success! The same is true for your nonprofit – and you can’t afford to put your resources and assets at risk. Remember: More Money = More Mission!

You will have an opportunity to hear what local nonprofit leaders have to say about their social enterprise ventures.  Jim Douglas, ARCA Organics; Eileen Cook, Casa Esperanza; Jim Copeland, Alta Mira; and Samantha Blauwkamp, Meals on Wheels will be on hand to share their experiences and answer questions.
