Are you responsible for presenting financial reports to your board?  How can you avoid their eyes glazing over when you discuss change in net assets or budget to actuals?  Timely, accurate reports are critical to the functioning of your organization but only if they are understood and used.

Lisa Kruger, CPA, Chief Financial Officer of United Way of Central New Mexico has transformed the United Way’s reports into charts and dashboards that quickly communicate the salient points.  Bring your financial statements and any other reports that you present to your stakeholders and we’ll brainstorm ways to convert them to easily understood dashboards and charts.

Presenter

Lisa Kruger, CPA, is the Chief Financial Officer at United Way of Central New Mexico. She served as the Board Treasurer for the New Mexico Ethics Alliance. She has served on the Board of Directors for the New Mexico Project for Financial Literacy as well as the finance committee of the Chaparral Girl Scout Council.  Lisa has experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors. She has worked in the records management, home building, advertising, and healthcare industries. She has also been an instructor at Kaplan Institute/UNM Continuing Education and Wayland Baptist University in the areas of tax and accounting. Lisa has a BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Masters in Business Administration.
