Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
The Brain Injury Alliance of New Mexico – established in 1984 – assists in creating a better future for those living with brain injury. We assist people and families living with brain injury, concussion and stroke thrive in their communities through support, advocacy, education, research, and prevention. We are looking for one or two energetic volunteers with experience in promotions and media relations for publicizing our events (fundraising, educational, training, and more) and bringing greater attention to the "silent epidemic" of brain injury. We are an all-volunteer organization, and we look forward to hearing from you!
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
People living with brain injury and stroke, their families, caregivers, and support people will learn they are not alone and will gain support. Health care professionals will learn about training opportunities to increase their competence in working with patients with brain injury and their families.
