Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

We invite you to participate in this enriching hands-on experience. Your active participation is an important ingredient in guaranteeing our students the best learning experience we can provide.

Kids Cook:
*Increases awareness and acceptance of a variety of foods and the cultural differences in food.
*Teaches culinary skills, proper food sanitation and safety.
*Establishes understanding of the nutritional benefits of food, and the food cycle.
*Teaches the importance of 60 minutes of physical activity every day.

So, listen along with the kids while they learn about the history and geography of where recipes originated, explore the nutrition focus, and engage in a some physical activity! When the cooking begins, so does the fun!

There are many tasks that our volunteers can help us with. The Kids Cook! educator will speak with you specifically about ways you can help.
