Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

The Southwest Women's Law Center is a policy and advocacy law center focused on creating opportunities for girls and women in New Mexico. We are seeking assistance from one or more dependable individuals who will help us keep our website up-to-date by making timely postings. Creativity in developing an interactive website is welcomed.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Women and girls throughout New Mexico will be impacted by this project. Our website will provide the most current information affecting issues of equal pay, paid family leave, economic justice for survivors of domestic violence, equal access to sports programs for girls in middle and high school and the latest developments about reproductive justice.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Acknowledgement on website, in newsletters and at annual events sponsored by the Southwest Women's Law Center. In addition, volunteers will be invited to attend special events sponsored by the Law Center where we discuss the latest topics affecting women's equality and advancement in the workplace.

Additional Requirements: 

The ideal volunteer for this position will have considerable knowledge and experience in using the Word Press platform for websites and will be available either at the beginning or the end of the week to ensure that updates to the website are posted timely. The volunteer must be motivated and excited about matters affecting women and girls in New Mexico.
