Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

**Volunteer activity is still on hold due to restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we will update when this changes. Recruitment is ongoing as we would love to have new volunteers ready to go when we are!**

At the Ronald McDonald House, volunteers play a crucial part of the day-to-day activities of the House, whether you are helping answering phones or setting up a room for an incoming family or helping keep the House clean and in order - each gives comfort to those who need it most and gives people hope knowing that people care.

Typical House roles include Housekeeping duties, Guest Services Desk Receptionist, Maintenance Work, Baking, Gardening, etc. Volunteers generally sign up for a shift doing one of these activities.

Families who have an ill child receiving treatment at an Albuquerque Hospital, but who live 50+ miles away.

Additional Requirements: 

We allow children age 10 and older to volunteer with a parent. Teenagers 16 and older may volunteer without a parent. ALL individual volunteers must fill out an application and attend a volunteer orientation prior to volunteer shift.
