Dates Volunteer is Needed:
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Seeking Volunteer Drivers and Route Supporters
Roadrunner Food Bank is seeking some special volunteers to help our drivers while they are out on their routes weekdays. We need people who are willing to ride with a driver within Albuquerque to help at food donation pick up locations and food agency delivery locations. Working with our drivers, support volunteers will use a cart or pallet jack to load totes, food drive barrels or boxes onto a Roadrunner Food Bank truck. All of our trucks have lift gates. By having two people at locations that are large and have multiple pickup spots in their building, we can pick up and deliver even more food for hungry people. We are also seeking volunteer drivers who have a CDL. We are flexible in terms of days and hours. We have routes Monday through Friday beginning at 7:00 am and ending by 3:00 pm. Minimum shift of two hours. For more information, please contact Larry Leathers at [email protected] or 505-349-8869.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Almost 40,000 people per week who seek help with food assistance in New Mexico.
