Dates Volunteer is Needed:
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
In 2019, Animal Protection of New Mexico (APNM) will celebrate its 40 years of effective animal advocacy and changing systems and polices for the protection of animals. To prepare, we are seeking an archivist who can help us digitize our forty years of history found on paper in aging file cabinets. The work will be tedious, but interesting for the right person(s).
Skills Needed:
Project Management
Technology (software, hardware, database, web)
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
The organization and its employees will be better able to draw upon past successes and lessons learned to inform its current initiatives. APNM constituents and the general public will benefit by being able to access a library of animal rights history and laws. APNM will be able to tell the 40-year story of the life-saving work of a home-grown, statewide animal advocacy organization.
Is This an Ongoing Opportunity?:
