Dates Volunteer is Needed:
For the 2019-2020 School Year beginning August 13, 2019
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Communities in Schools of New Mexico is currently in 11 of Santa Fe's public schools and provides approximately 6000 underserved, PreK-12 students. Our services encourage students to stay in school and succeed in life. At present, our volunteers fall into two categories: tutoring in English Language Arts and/or math and basic needs (e.g. weekly food distribution for families and other seasonal projects). The need for bilingual tutors is high, though it is certainly not a requirement. Please contact Kate Mitchell, Volunteer Coordinator, at 505-954-1880 or [email protected] for more information.
Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
The students who attend the 11 Santa Fe public schools in which we have an active presence.
