Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

East Central Ministries (ECM) thrift store, The Common Good, is looking for more volunteers! The Common Good is a social enterprise designed to raise funds for ECM’s community programs, such as our healthcare center One Hope Centro de Vida, which offers low-cost, holistic healthcare to uninsured patients.

We particularly need more donation sorters to receive donations, divide them by type, perform quality assessment, and price them. We also need more cashiers to greet customers, ring up purchases, and keep the merchandise displays looking neat and attractive.

Volunteers need to commit to a shift of a least two hours each week (every other week is also ok, but weekly is strongly preferred). Volunteers should have good people skills and attention to detail, and be reliable team players.
