Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History seeks energetic, outgoing volunteers to help us engage the community in dialogue about science education efforts at the Museum. The Volunteer will serve as a member of the Einstein Gala Committee, and will support the Museum’s largest annual fundraising event.

Primary Duties: As a member of the Einstein Gala Committee, the Volunteer will help formulate strategies and designs for the event’s Silent Auction. The Volunteer will solicit items for the auction from area businesses and community partners. The day of the event, the Volunteer will assist in setting up and staging the auction, assisting patrons during the auction, and with the auction check out process.

The Museum is the only National Museum in the State of New Mexico, and strives to be America’s resource for all things related to nuclear science & history. The Museum’s science education programming reaches thousands of students and adults each year, and plays a vital role in information the public about various science topics – from chemistry to physics to biology and beyond!
