Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Opportunity to participate in the oversight and long-term planning for a stable, community non-profit providing services to surviviors of sexual assault and domestic violence as a Board member. Board participation means 6 board meetings/year, board assignments and soliciting financial support for the organization.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence are positively impacted. Families, friends and communities benefit by the variety of support services in place. Survivors receive immediate, free services, families and friends are supported and helped to support the survivor, law enforcement /judiciary benefit from evidence collection and skilled testimony of sexual assault nurse examiners.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Albuquerque SANE's Board of Directors meets 6 times/year. Dinner is provided at these meetings which are held in the early evening. The Board of Directors is supported by the Director of Albuquerque SANE and the SANE staff.
