Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

The New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force is seeking nominations for five Board members and two officers, to be voted on by the Membership at the September 7th meeting. In particular, the Board is seeking representation from tribal communities and the Southeast and Northeast portions of the state. Two officer positions—Board Chair and Board Treasurer—are open this year.

The mission of the Task Force is to improve the health of New Mexico families by creating supportive environments in which breastfeeding is the cultural norm. We strive to bridge the gap in breastfeeding disparities and are committed to making sure all families have the support they need to reach their breastfeeding goals.
