Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Outreach Volunteer will help us get the word out about adult literacy programming & provide tutor support. Specific Projects:
*Client Recruitment: Volunteers will determine appropriate venues for advertising our services and distribute flyers & information at those venues.
*Attend client recruitment and volunteer recruitment fairs and events.
*Tutor Support: Volunteers will research and locate venues where our tutors and clients can meet and prepare a handbook/handout for the tutors.
*Community Outreach: Volunteers will research and recommend venues for outreach, including Board member speeches.
Perfect for someone who wants to work on his or her own schedule. Good for groups. For more information: www.reading-works.org
