Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

We are working to build a multi-generational, mixed use residential and commercial community, which will provide affordable and market rate housing for: families who commit to adopting 3-4 older children from the foster care system, young people aging out of the foster care system, and elder resident volunteers. Hands Across Time New Mexico (HATNM) needs 5 volunteers to lead our Fundraising, Property & Development, Networking & Partnerships, & Management volunteer teams. We have 13 volunteers to support team leads.

Adoptive families, young adults impacted by foster care, and elders. HATNM’s communities will prioritize vulnerable individuals such as veterans, low income elders, youths vulnerable to homelessness and adults with disabilities.

Meeting space, support from our Acting Director, Advisory Board and our Fiscal Sponsor. Cubicle space as needed, provided by our fiscal sponsor with advance notice. Training and networking opportunities.

Additional Requirements: 

Self-motivated, organized volunteers comfortable with leading teams to achieve identified goals while reporting to the director and board. Also seeking a new director as our founder phases out of leadership.
