Dates Volunteer is Needed:
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
On Saturday, May 11th, the National Association of Letter Carriers, the United States Postal Service and the Rural Letter Carriers Association will host their annual national food drive in the United States.
In Albuquerque, the food collected through the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will benefit Roadrunner Food Bank and will help us provide meals to 70,000+ people in New Mexico. Volunteers are needed at 11 different post office locations to receive food from the postal carriers and help sort food into different bins/barrels. The volunteer shift will be 2 hours long with different start times at each location. Roadrunner Food Bank staff will be working along with the volunteers at each post office and will provide guidance and training.
To sign up or for information about different shifts, please follow the link provided below or contact [email protected].

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
As the largest food bank in the state, we distribute more than 30 million pounds every year to a network of hundreds of partner agencies and four regional food banks. With the help of volunteers, we will be able to prepare for summer, the hungriest season, and help feed disadvantaged individuals and families in our community.
