Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

The front desk volunteer's primary task is to keep the office running smoothly with minimal supervision. This includes screening calls, taking messages, greeting visitors, distributing mail, keeping the desk and office clean, assisting Coordinators with projects, as needed, and closing. The office is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm with two-three hours shifts available throughout the week. Other shifts available.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The Peace & Justice Center is a nexus for social justice organizations. We provide support and space for our member groups, which includes immigrant and refugee rights, environmental groups, racial justice groups the LGBTQ community and many others. Your volunteer work at the center helps many social justice organizations throughout the county.
