Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

We are seeking short-term financial consulting for our small organization that serves women transitioning from substance abuse and homelessness.

We need help with an overall strategic financial plan, that will include but not be limited to the following:
• Creating sustainable short (1 year) and long-term (5 year) financial plans.
• Perfoming a cost benefit analysis in relation to fundraising activities.
• Establishing our annual and semiannual budgets.
• Establishing working budget questions with our grant writing staff.
• Developing amortization schedules for periodic Board review/approval.

We would like for this person to:
• Manage bookkeeping, tax, and auditing contracts as long as is necessary while securing contracts.
• Act as our liaison with organizations while resolving issues and ensuring timely payment.
• Establish and oversee financial committee, as necessary.

The Board will reimburse reasonable expenses for training (and other expenses as budgets allow).

Additional Requirements: 

Attendance and input at monthly Board meetings, along with ability to abide by Board ethical, conflict of interest and anti-discrimination requirements.
