Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Many times on an evening shift an extra helping hand is a great addition to the shift. There are files to be made, doors to be unlocked for residents and laundry to be folded. This volunteer position allows you to get hands-on experience at the Shelter and help assist the Evening Shift Team in making the operation run even smoother.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The men staying at the shelter and our staff. Albuquerque Opportunity Center is a services campus that co-locates two programs: An Emergency Housing and Respite Care Program. Shared by the two programs on campus are an outdoor garden, computer lab, storage area, showers, laundry facilities, medical examination rooms, a library and a classroom area.
