Dates Volunteer is Needed:
Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Southwest Conservation Corps program Ancestral Lands engages Native young adults aged 18-30 to complete challenging and impactful conservation projects throughout the Southwest. As an AmeriCorps program, we are constantly seeking how to develop our members for post-service life successfully.
We are currently seeking individuals with accounting, finance, and business backgrounds to help empower our members by increasing financial literacy. These volunteers would come to our onboarding days, and potentially educational days, to discuss matters such as filling out a W4 (and its connection to a W2), how a pay stub reflects the employee's earnings and deductions, tax preparation, financial planning and predatory lending.
