Trapping and animal handling: Tapping consisted of setting trap lines. Animal handling and processing consisted of taking a number of life measurements, tissue sampling, ear tagging with a specific ID number, fecal sampling, and collecting ecto-parasites.

Students from Sierra Middle School in Las Cruces, NM, came out on a field trip to learn how to track tagged animal using radio collars, radio signals, and telemetry to pin- point a collared animal’s location.
