Description:

Have a big cleaning, maintenance, repair, or other physical labor-related project? We are a multi-parish cohort of high school youth and adult leadership from the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado who strive to serve communities any way we can.

What we lack in expertise we make up for in energy and determination. In Staten Island, we moved 52 tons of rock and dirt - with no machinery, just shovels, buckets, and muscle - in 3 days, raising the ground level for 2 property owners who nearly lost everything in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

We love to see a project through to completion. We will likely have 30-50 people, but we work in teams of 8-10 youth with 2 adult supervisors (our adults usually work right alongside the youth) so smaller projects are good as well. We plan to work in Albuquerque July 6-9, 2016. We've worked in residences, for non-profits like shelters and food programs, in parks and open spaces, and more.
