In 1987 after almost 20 years in retail management, I took a position in the auto service business, working as dispatcher, service writer, assistant service manager, service manager and finally parts and service director. In 1992 began working in the direct mail advertising business which catered mainly to auto dealerships. Within 2 years I along with a partner started our own business, First Class Mailing, Inc. which was in business until 2017.

With the above experiences the most important thing I learned was what I learned the first day at Woolworths “service to the customer supercedes all other assignments. That philosophy served me well in all my various business dealings.

I would like to help start ups or even existing organizations in implementing this way of thinking.
