Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Bring your love of people and customer service skills to be a docent at our brand new Nature Center in Los Alamos, NM. Greet visitors, orient them to the exhibits, answer questions and run sales from the Gift Shop; this is a fun job interacting with a lot of nice happy-to-be-here people and keeping up with our programs and activities. You will learn many aspects of how a Nature Center is operated, including Environmental Education, Customer Service, Retail, Programming, Exhibits and Outdoor Activities. Docents work in shifts of 2-4 hours and should be friendly and outgoing.

Your service will impact the local and regional community through environmental outreach, visitor interaction and helping with education activities and programs.
