Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

The New Mexico Youth Work Readiness Program is a partnership of APS, New Mexico WorkForce Connections and ABC Community Schools Partnership. The aim of the program is to prepare students for employment, college and a career by giving them real-life skills and tools. The pilot program will be at Highland High School, beginning Nov. 1st-Dec. 6th, held every Thursday 2:45-3:45pm.
There are two volunteer positions available. Work Readiness Volunteers will meet students after school in a casual setting to help students with their resumes, interview skills and job applications. Workshop Facilitator Volunteers will facilitate workshop(s) after school for one hour per week (6-week series). Fingerprinting background check required from APS.
