Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
The New Mexico Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NMCADV) is a statewide, non-profit organization that seeks to improve the response to domestic violence (DV) through building DV program and stakeholder capacity. NMCADV provides training, policy support and networking opportunities to approximately 30 domestic violence member programs and multiple stakeholders and partners.
In collaboration with a variety of organizations, we develop and promote policies and practices to reduce the prevalence and effects of domestic violence. We provide world-class training on cutting edge issues in domestic violence prevention and intervention. Through our statewide leadership, we help our programs to assess and effectively respond to community needs. We are presently engaged in working at both the state and national levels to design the domestic violence response of the future.
