Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
The Board of Directors for Serendipity Day School serves in an advisory capacity, supporting the organizational and financial health of the school, and providing input when necessary on policies in collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director. The Director and Assistant Director manage the day-to-day operations and decision-making at the school.
We meet quarterly as a Board (virtual meetings until further notice), and there are seasonal fundraising events that we support at the school. We are a non-profit, so familiarity with mission-driven organizations, and non-profit management and accounting is a plus, but we have Board members representing various backgrounds and expertise!

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
Serendipity Day School in Nob Hill has five classrooms with children aged eighteen months to five years.
We are now in our 45th year of operation. As a result, we have a string of former Serendipity children coming back to us in the capacity of parent, teacher, or simply to say hello. It is very heartwarming and also humbling to know we have been part of these lives.
