Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Making Strides of Albuquerque is looking for enthusiastic and passionate volunteers to join our committee as a Making Strides Ambassador to help plan and improve the 2017 event.

The American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, is a non-competitive walk that takes place every year in October around the nation. Last year, the Making Strides of Albuquerque event brought 18,000 walkers together and raised over $385,000!

The Executive Advisory Board are a group of individuals who serve as Making Strides Against Breast Cancer community ambassadors by helping spread the word and gain support for our mission, kickoff events, and our walk. As a member you will be asked to assist with fundraising through recruiting teams and sponsors and offer ideas and suggestions on ways to improve the event. One-year commitment, monthly committee meetings, 4-8 hours per month.
