Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Our Road to Recovery Program in Albuquerque provides free rides for cancer patients who have no way to get to their treatment appointments. Volunteer drivers donate their time using their own vehicles to get patients to and from the treatments they need.

We'll train you and give you the support you need to donate this life-saving service!

To qualify to become a Road to Recovery Driver: A current, valid driver's license, a good driving record, a safe and reliable vehicle and proof of car insurance. A background check is conducted on all volunteers. The American Cancer Society will provide the necessary training through our on-line Volunteer Learning Center, as well as support through our staff and volunteer structure
