6 hours per month or mutually agreed upon time. Flexible schedule. 6 month commitment desired.

Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

• Create and send email blasts, as needed, for upcoming Patient Access events
• Pull report of bounced/blocked emails and send to Patient Access staff or Volunteer Leader for update
within database
• Keep Patient Access page on Chapter website updated with upcoming events, support groups, etc.
• Keep event section of Chapter website updated with upcoming Patient Access events
• Post on Facebook/Twitter upcoming events, volunteer spotlights, etc.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

LLS exists to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. We are the voice for all blood cancer patients and we work to ensure access to treatments for all blood cancer patients.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

LLS orientation and volunteer training pertaining to job duties and responsibilities. Equipment, and work space or the ability to work from home. As an integral part of LLS, you will help advance patient access initiatives, ensuring volunteers are actively engaged and satisfied. In addition, this is a great opportunity to continue or advance current managerial skills. This is an excellent opportunity to learn or enhance marketing and web-editing skills. By incorporating effective marketing strategies, you are helping LLS get information to patients sooner and improving their quality of support.

• Strong written skills
• Quick learner of new software
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Graphic design knowledge and access to software a plus, but not necessary
• Email Playground and Drupal knowledge a plus, but not necessary
