Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Interested in helping the Museum restore its aircraft? We are looking for motivated volunteers interested in taking on the role of Project Leader.

The Project Leader is responsible for project planning, raising funds and in-kind sponsorships for the project, material procurement, and supervision during the completion of the work. The Project Leader will also work with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit and engage community volunteers.

Operation Preservation is a multi-year campaign to restore the airplanes, missiles, and rockets on display at the Museum. The Project Leader will be assigned to one project.

The Museum hosts approximately 70,000 guests from around the world each year and presents programs to approximately 10,000 children. Your work as a Project Manager will allow us to preserve a piece of history for visitors to enjoy for years to come.

Additional Requirements: 

Volunteers will sign a project management agreement with the Museum and will work through a pre-determined time period. The position requires administration of the project as well as physical labor related to the project.
