Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

The Healing Circle Drop In Center has never had a financial audit due to its very small budget, but in order for the Center to apply for new funding sources, some funders require a current audit. If anyone would like to donate time to get an official audit performed on the Center, we would greatly appreciate it and our consumers would benefit as the program would offer them more services.

The Drop In Center will be in a better position to apply for new grants and meet the grantors' requirements for current audits on the Center.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Office space, Internet, lunch. Our budget only covers a quarter time employee at 20 hrs a week and a cultural instructor paid by sessions. We will provide Native AMerican cultural education by giving person time to sit in on these sessions. Sweat lodges are offered for men as well. Sisters in Circle provide support for women and have regular gatherings.

Additional Requirements: 

The Center often has refreshments and some time to talk with people and get to know the community. Nearest town is Farmington, New Mexico, Cortez, Colorado and Gallup, New Mexico. We are located 40 miles from the Four Corners Monument. Many sights to see within this area.
