Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

April 22nd is Earth Day and ABQ NeighborWoods sponsored by Tree New Mexico and the City of Albuquerque kicks off with the largest volunteer tree planting event in Albuquerque! We will be planting 100 trees in the Wells Park neighborhood. We will meet at 10:00 am on Saturday April 22 at 1507 Los Tomases Dr NW. Please wear closed toed shoes, hats and gloves.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

Tree canopy in the Wells Park Neighborhood will be increased. Over 60 homes will have trees planted to help create shade corridors in the community, to reduce energy bills and crime, and to improve health and wildlife habitat.
