Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

We are looking for experienced women who are able and willing to share their knowledge and experience to assist our guests in navigating systems and serving as an advocate in various areas in their transition to permanent housing.

The Barrett Foundation's vision is a community where homelessness for women and children is rare, short-lived and nonrecurring. If you would like to be part of enabling that vision and make a difference in a woman's life, please contact us. A minimum of 2 hours per month is requested to share your knowledge and guide, listen to, advise, and just be a friend to a woman who has a goal of permanent housing.

You will be connected with one woman who may also have children. She has a goal of to achieve permanent housing and you will be additional support to help her achieve her goal.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Orientation for the mentor partnerships. Additional training for mentors as needed. A mentor coordinator for ongoing support of the mentoring partnerships.
