Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

a) Design, implement, enter data and summarize marketing survey of Small Businesses meeting eligibility criteria for Employee Assistance Program (SBEAP). Purpose:
● Assess responses to various factors of EAP services that might be offered
● Determine # employees necessary for affordable (per EAP market standards), capitated price on EAP benefit, with positive ROI for each business
b) Assessment and recommendations re: feasibility of the SBEAP

Employees of small businesses in the South Valley area of Albuquerque, which includes: non-profits serving immigrants, Mexican-Americans, low-income people, undocumented workers; small group or individual entrepreneurs & professionals; farming cooperatives

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Culturally adapted EAP services as a benefit of small business (<50 employees) employment -- first such model in country. Results of marketing/feasibility studies will be foundational structures to starting SBEAP services. Possible stipend based on quality of performance and experience. Plenty of pretzels provided!

Additional Requirements: 

Strong skills in designing and implementing marketing/feasibility studies.
Strong interest in social justice model of program delivery.
Self-motivation, good organization, good humor!
Needs access to computer, data entry software, etc.
Strong communication skills with diverse populations; Spanish-speaking a plus
