Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
Help make our Campus sparkle while helping homeless pets!
Animal Humane New Mexico is seeking 20 volunteers to join us on Make a Difference Day, October 22, 2016, for Fall pruning on our beautiful Campus.
All volunteers will receive a brief orientation and be given a duty assignment by our Gardening Volunteer Leaders.
Duties, as directed by Team Leaders, include:
• Prune Blue Spirea
• Cut stalks from Red Yucca
• Trim Lavender, Chamisa, Three Leaf Sumac, Russian Sage
• Pull weeds in front of Facilities Department / Food Bank
• Collect and haul cuttings to trash
• Dig out Bermuda grass in Agility Park
Parking: Animal Humane New Mexico is located at 615 Virginia St. SE, one block west of Wyoming & 2 blocks south of Zuni. Please park in the lot north of our BIG BLUE Adoption Center. We'll gather in Gary's Room at 8:30 am, which is accessible from the north side of the building.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:
This year, Animal Humane New Mexico will save the lives of over 4,000 homeless cats and dogs from throughout our state and provide quality medical care to the pets of nearly 5,000 low-income families. Each pet we save and each person we serve will benefit from this project.
