Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Join the volunteers at the Friends' Bookstore in the lobby of the Mesa Public Library. Volunteers in the bookstore are responsible for greeting customers, conducting sales, accepting, distributing and pricing donations during their shift which may be 2 or 3 hours long.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The Los Alamos County Libraries benefit from the funds generated by the Friends' Bookstore. The money is spent on projects or materials that the Libraries can not afford with their funds.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Volunteers are provided with all the on-the-job training that they need and polo shirts or aprons for their use. Training is provided whenever it is convenient to you.

Additional Requirements: 

The bookstore is open every day - Monday through Thursday from 10AM to 6PM; Fridays from 10AM to 5PM; Saturday from 10AM to 4PM and Sunday from 1PM to 4PM. Call 662-2188 or leave your name and phone number at the bookstore if you're interested.
