Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Volunteers are needed to serve on the Board of Directors. Board members decide how the bookstore revenues are spent, as well as sit on a variety of committees, to help raise money for the Libraries.

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project: 

The Libraries of Los Alamos County and the people of Northern New Mexico may all be impacted by the revenues generated by the Friends' Bookstore. The additional monies are spent on special projects and/or equipment that are accessed through the Libraries for everyone's enjoyment.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

Volunteers are provided with all the on-the-job training that they need and polo shirts or aprons for their use.

Additional Requirements: 

Board members attend an hour long meeting on the third Wednesday of the month, at least 4 times a year.
