Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

This is a volunteer position. Duties consist of, but may not be limited to: Assist in recruiting new volunteers; Intake of applications and database entry; Conduct Orientation classes and assists in future trainings; Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments; Monitor schedules for volunteering gaps and solicits for help when needed; Assist in providing recognition and awards.

Knowledge of basic software including Word and Excel is a plus. Training will be provided for use of our Volunteer database program = Volgistics.

As an all-volunteer organization we depend on your participation either by contribution or by volunteering to help. Our goal is to help all individuals who want to learn to ride a horse be successful, no matter what their challenges in life might be. We serve both the veteran population as well as the developmental, physically, or mentally challenged individuals of our community.

Additional Requirements: 

It is preferred that the Volunteer Coordinator be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and program support tasks with excellent organizational skills, as well as be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Good communications skills and a friendly attitude a plus!
