Lead an Exercise Group for Women in Albuquerque

Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Crossroads for Women is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated volunteer to host an exercise group for the women of our community. Group would be held consistently on a weekly basis, on any day Monday through Friday for an hour between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm. There would be some room for flexibility in availability from month to month. Volunteer would lead the group members in an exercise routine each class and be knowledgeable about and able to discuss the importance of fitness and regular exercise through a non-judgmental lens. Ability to teach self-defense is desired, but not a requirement.

This project impacts women in the CRFW programs who are maintaining sobriety, living independently or in transitional housing, and have a history of being previously incarcerated.
