Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

KiteFest is Alta Mira's annual fundraising event. It is held at Balloon Fiesta Park from 10 am - 4 pm. We are fortunate to be sponsored by and have the expertise of folks from the American Kitefliers Association. The gentlemen who run the Kite Making and Kite Hospital will teach volunteers how to make and fix kites, so that throughout the day we can support a variety of kite fliers. It is a fun family friendly day with plenty of activity, food and some of the biggest and best kites flying in the warm NM sun. We have two hour shifts beginning at 9 am.
