Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:
The museum hosts "Science is Everywhere" camp during winter, spring and summer break. During our day-long or week-long camps, Junior Camp Counselors help set up activities, engage campers, assist the teacher and generally support an exciting, learning-filled experience for campers ages 4-12.
Junior Camp Counselors are expected to commit to two camps during the summer (May 28th-August 9th). Each camp is a week in length and a total of 40 hours. Applicants will be scheduled for an interview with the Volunteer Coordinator and the Education Director or Education Coordinator. Those offered a position must attend a "Science is Everywhere" orientation held in May.
