Description of the Volunteer Opportunity: 

Simply accept a trip assignment a week in advance to drive a senior 60+ to a medical appointment, possibly light grocery shopping or a business office. This does not require any additional care, just be friendly, punctual and drive safely.
Schedule is set by driver and is very flexible. Our goal is to help seniors, who have turned their keys over, to maintain their independence.

This will help the fastest growing population, the elderly, to remain connected to the community and maintain their health and independence. It fills the gap for family members who may be he sole providers for their love one.
It also helps the medical community better serve their patients.

Nonprofit Will Provide: 

We will provide all necessary training and support. We provide gas cards upon request and secondary liability insurance. They will be provided with a Drivers Handbook and a picture I.D. Badge.

Additional Requirements: 

Volunteer vetting process includes completing an application, providing copies of driver's license, auto insurance They must attend a Volunteer Orientation, an Abuse Awareness Training and watching a 20 minute safety driving video. This is arranged at the convenience of the volunteer.
